In my frustration with trying to simply find a link to install becomeroot I stumbled across a site with links to a bunch of utils for the N810 but most all seem to work just fine on my N800.

There is a link there to easyroot which FINALLY got me root access so I can do some stuff.

I had some fun playing with the utils there. One was internal-temp. Pretty much tells you the internal temp of the tablet.

battery-status is really nice. You can see remaining charge for your battery. I just don't like the default status bar version. All it ever tells me is an estimate of how long the battery MIGHT run. Nothing about the charge remaining. That is what I want to know.

wireless-tools looks interesting but I haven't fiddled with it just yet.

I have no idea of the safety of these so be careful. But a few are interesting and for me easyroot gave me root access that I have be trying to get. Not sure HOW it did it...but eventually I will figure it out.
