I'm trying to reflash my N800 w/ OS2008 again because I've had a number of things not seem to work correctly since my initial purchase and OS upgrade last month. (Maps not downloading, occasional lockups...)

Every time I download RX-34_2008SE_2.2007.51-3_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM
from tablets-dev.nokia.com I get a different MD5 checksum, and it never matches the published checksum. What's going on? Am I missing something? I'm downloading with Firefox in Ubuntu Feisty, and Firefox does seem to be doing something odd in adding an additional file extension to an existing one (with a comma inserted!), e.g. xxxx.bin,.bin. But by assigning the filename correctly before the download I avoid that.

If I go ahead and try to flash anyway, when I use the -F switch (per instructions at maemo.org) I get the following message:
Code:
SW version in image: RX-34_2008SE_2.2007.51-3_PR_MR0
Image 'kernel', size 1529984 bytes
        Version 2.6.21.0-200749osso2
Image 'initfs', size 1954560 bytes
        Version 0.95-70
Image 'rootfs', size 137625600 bytes
        Version RX-34+RX-44_2008SE_2.2007.51-3_PR_MR0
FIASCO subimage data length mismatch
If I run it with the -F switch, it seems to look for the device as it should, but then when I switch on the tablet w/ home key depressed, I get:
Code:
Suitable USB device not found, waiting
USB device found found at bus 003, device address 016
Found device RX-34, hardware revision 1302
NOLO version 1.1.7
Version of 'sw-release': <no version>
Sending request 0x83 failed: Timer expired
No flashing happens. Ugh!

I'm becoming a bit disillusioned with my much-anticipated new toy. I had similar problems the first time I flashed the device, but I believe running without the -F switch was what did the trick, though perhaps that was ill-advised? Any help appreciated. TIA.
