Tried to update Canola2 to beta 5 on my Nokia 770 running latest version of OS2006. During the "Update install failure" via application manager the following details are provided :-

    Code:
    Unable to update canola2
Will not install due to packages missing
      liblightmediascanner0 = 0.1.3-maemo1
    conflict with packages
      lightmediascanner0-id3lib

Just wanted to say thank you for this wonderful effort.

Just a suggestion when you get done with all the features like youtube, maps and all other things to be integrated why dont you do a video demo and send it to engadget. That way people will know that not only the iphone has a great interface but also the IT with the help of third party developers like the canola team. That will make lot of techies more interested in the tablet.

Thanks so much for this wonderful app you guys

There has been a persistent bug, though, since the first beta, that I was hoping would get fixed here. I have most of my music in ogg format. And, when one song finishes and goes to the next, the volume goes all the way up (even though the visual representation does not show it). Effectively blowing out my ear drums when listening with headphones It does not do this when I press the forward button, though...

Thanks again for the great application and all the hard work. I'm looking forward to that blue theme

    Hi Aisu:

We have been aware of this bug, and Arthur has made incremental fixes in all releases since reported, but it sometimes impossible to reproduce it here. So please, can you send some of your ogg files? We will try to kill for once, but also what you can do is to set the volume of the default media player almost to none, and tell us if instead of blowing your ears... it goes lower?

Ps: we are really happy to see that you have so much Python projects also we are python supporters and promoters

Currently fighting with the ITT to get Canola2 installed (same issue as in beta3 update). Trying the cleanup tool and see if that works (it did last time).

Shouldn't have been too quick on the happiness, canola-tuning no longer works. And since I did a cleanup, all my covers are gone. When I start canola Album covers, nothing happens.

Oh, yes! I can't believe I have forgotten to thank you and the team for porting and supporting Python! That's is one of the greatest leaps for the tablet, ever Thanks so much!

Ah, and I did what you said, set the volume one away from mute, and one away from full blast in both in both Canola and the default Media Player (OGG), and only Canola reproduces it every time with every ogg I have. (Going to full volume no matter where it is set.)

As for an ogg file, you would probably need two of them (going from one to the next). Hope you like Metallica

    Here's the file, on MediaFire
