I was just looking at the Samsung Blast. I hadn't realized it's a suretype keyboard until just now (not as nice, IMO, as a side-slide keyboard, but finding non-winmo phones with a side-slide doesn't seem very easy).

I'm trying to figure out how well it's Bluetooth DUN works with the NITs. Anyone have experience with it?

And, what about with coaxing T-Mobile to enable the "Total Internet" option for it?

I'm hoping they'll soon be releasing a 3G version of the Blast soon ... and then I'd be able to get:

Blast + 3G + Individual Unlimited voice/messaging + Total Internet

It would be just about ideal wrt to being a companion device for my N810. (not as ideal as the proposed 3300 revision I mentioned the other day, but still)

You should be able to add "Total Internet" to your account on-line, whether or not you actually have a smartphone.

I myself am looking forward to T-Mobile's 3G launch (hopefully it will happen soon, but I'm not holding my breath either...).

I thought I heard their 3G launch was going to "by summer", which probably means _during_ the summer:

On the "Total Internet" option -- when _ordering_ a line, the web page only lets you get "Total Internet" add-on if you're getting a blackberry or windows-mobile phone, none of the other phones even show you the "Total Internet" add-on. But, I know that's completely different from the web page that you use for managing your account once it's active. Is that the page you're saying should let me add it, the one you use for managing your account once it's active?

Yeah, you probably can't add it when you are first ordering service. So, when first ordering your service, I would not add any data plan at all (just so there is less to remove once you are ready to add what you really want).

Once you have an account, it's should be pretty easy to add Total Internet from the website (via the user account page you mention). Remember also, data is not part of your contract--it's something that you can add and remove at will.
