I did the update. Then I deleted all of my locations. Then I added locations. Working fine.

What version of OMWeather do you use?
    0.20.2 ?

    Vlad.

    Hi Vlad,
I ran "Check for updates" yesterday and it said an update was available so I ran that. I can't get far enough to check what version I've got. I get the "Other Maemo Weather Settings" white box. I can get as far as selecting home, applets and unticking Omweather (sometimes!) but after clicking "OK" the white box appears before it is accepted.

It occurs to me that what the N800 needs is a "safe" mode (say by pressing a key combination on starting) which only starts up the tools required for removing applications and applets. Has anybody done something similar? Is it possible?

I've tried another 50 times and no joy. I only got it 5 days ago (second hand). Hope I haven't got an expensive brick!

    Andy

I had the same problem after upgrading OMWeather, but managed to click on "Home" right after a reboot and deselect the OMWeather.

Then just followed Vlads instructions to completely remove OMWeather, reboot and reinstall.

Now working fine again with latest OMWeather.

    Thanks Vlad!

    Hi mardibloke,

That's exactly what I've been trying to do, but the last "OK" doesn't take!

I did not understand your problem. Your device has a cycle reboot or did not has cycle reboot .

Does not have a cycle reboot if by that you mean it repeatedly boots on its own.
What happens is that after booting OMWeather displays a blank box stating "Other Maemo Weather Settings". This is IN FRONT OF anything else on the screen. All button and key presses are then ignored. You CAN press the buttons before OMWeather runs, but there just is not time on my N800 to disable OMWeather. That is what I've been trying to do. I'm trying to avoid re-flashing. Others have longer before OMWeather starts to get in and disable it. Others, like me, don't - see GabbaGabbaHey's post an others at

Before re-flashing, try shutting down and removing the battery for a bit. This, I believe forces a full boot that may now give you the time to disable OMW...

I haven't had this problem on my N800/OS08. I un installed OMW 0.20.1 before installing 0.20.2 because I had tried Wolf's mod... so that may be the key.

I just upgraded to 0.20.3 and again, no problems.

I've just never gotten OMWeather back to 100% - it just refuses to show current weather. The next days' forecasts are fine.
