Yeah, I thought it was just me that had this problem. I've been getting upgrade errors lately saying unable to upgrade. This has happened for several packages too, like Personal Menu.
It looks like the problem was running out of disk space. I ran apt-get from the terminal and observed the disk space problem. I removed some of the cache files and ran apt-get again. I had some problem with the version of python-2.5, but running apt-get -f install fixed this problem. So now it is upgraded (along with several other apps that depended on python) and is working fine.
I agree. I also like the fact that the screens include a [next] button, so you can browse further down the list of videos, and a today/week/month/all filter modifier for the returned lists (so you can see more than just the "all time" favorites list, for example)... two things Canola has yet to add. Canola does let you see "most recent" which is, at present, missing from mYTube, though...
I think there might be a problem when using mytube with lcars pad theme. It started acting a bit erratically and produced odd error message. Really sorry: have since rm'd lcars and didn't note error message.
I use mytube regularly for travel planning, Thanks! for the great app My only req. would be a simple login/upload feature and to shrink the menu icon down just a wee bit.
I just want to say thanks! Youtube videos are actually watchable now! Nokia should include this app by default.
EDIT: I had one question though. Now that youtube in encoding some videos in higher resolution with h.264, does mytube support downloading the higher quality versions? Shouldn't be any problem for mplayer as I can easily play dvd quality video..
