I've have a data account through Sprint using their EVDO service for over a year now and it works flawlessly with my laptop.

A few months ago I purchased a Kyocera EVDO router and also working great providing a local wifi network for my mobile construction site offices.

I purchased an N800 thinking I should be able to connect to my unsecured wifi EVDO network but won't happen.

The KR1 wireless network is visible in the list, but I get the "Network Connection Error, try again" message over and over.

Tried changing the SSID, channel, enabled DHCP server with 99 addresses...What am I missing?

Anyone have success connecting their N800's to the KR1?

Thanks for any help.

There is no reason it shouldn't work. I'd try evdoinfo.com which might have some tips. I have both it and a cradlepoint router.

Can you connect with your laptop or some other device?

There should be no problem.

On the N810 there is power saving setting.
What power saving settings do you have?
On the 810
Control panel --> connectivity-->connections-->edit-->next-->next-->advanced-->other
try setting it to intermediate.

It helped here.

I've been wanting to do this for so long. Unfortunately, the relatively high cost of the hardware involved along with Canada's insane data rates make it more or less unfeasible.
