    dpkg -r ghostscript (OPTIONAL)
    dpkg -r xournal
    Aniello,

I had to run "dpkg -r libgnomeprint2.2" first, because of dependencies with libart-2.0.

    Thanks for your work.

And thanks to you for following up. Removing libgnomeprint2.2 did it for me too! tx

Thanks for your work on this... FYI I did have to remove gnomeprint 1st as well, also had to use apt-get as the program wouldn't install from App Manager. Otherwise, great!

A few problems. I upgraded directly and PDF annotation would not work anymore (it used to in the test builds you had).

So I thought that it might have been an issue with upgrading rather than deleting everything and starting fresh. So I disabled any unneccessarty repositories, (including your personal one and Maemo Extras Devel) just in case there were stray test files still there. Turns out I was a little over-zealous on my repo culling. Should you need to have Maemo Extras Devel still enabled for libart? That is not going to be a repo that your typical user will (or should) have installed. Could you move libart in to the regular meamo extras repo too? That seems to be the only thing that is in Maemo Extras Devel that is needed ... the rest is in the more common Maemo Extras. The lack of access to libart blocks both libgnomeprint and libgnomecanvas ... and consequently xournal.

By the way ... me upgrading directly without deleting first *was* the problem with PDF Annotation. Seems to work fine now ... slow on large PDF files ... but it does work. Excellent job on the port.

To make things clear a bit...

You guys are right, libgnomeprint has to be removed first, I'll update the first page.
You should also remove my own repository, you right on this to. I'll add it too to the first page.
You need maemo extras enabled (otherwise not even Xournal will appear in the Application Manager), but you should not need Maemo Extras Devel...

    I'll look into that.
I did not port libart, so I have no right in moving it between repository.
But in maemo Extras Devel there should only be the -dev package, while the package for the library itself should be in "maemo Extras" only.

I just uploaded the libart-package to "maemo Extras", it was indeed only available in Extras Devel until now.

    Thank a lot chelli!

For those who are still missing poppler-utils, install the maemo extras devel repository (and then remove it).

I will contact the maintainer of that package and see if he thinks it's stable enough to be moved to maemo Extras.

Wow Anidel! I've been watching and waiting for Xournal to be complete and it is truly well worth the wait This is a magnificent application - the pdf annotation has just changed my life. I read a lot of scientific journal articles in pdf format and the ability to carry them on my N810 and highlight and make notes etc... directly on the pdf is amazing. I used to have to kill trees and print off articles so I could do those things - not to mention that paper is bulky and having to carry around 5 different articles takes up a lot of room in my bag.

    THANK YOU!

Just one quick question: Are there any docs for this app or anyplace I can find out what all of the different buttons do?
