The only thing that has happened recently is moving everything to the maemo garage to make it easier for others to help should they want to.
I don't use google's calendar feature myself, and I believe some who tried syncing calend data with it had problems which seemed to be due to no timezone handling in calend.
Looking just now, I am not able to find Gene's original website via google. Perhaps he is changing providers.
