I am running the latest .16.5-2 and here are some thoughts:

-Bookmarks don't seem to be saved between application instances. i.e. if I shut down Minimo and restart, all my bookmarks have gone poof.
-Fullscreen button doesn't toggle fullscreen mode, although it is available from the left icon that looks like a world.
-Pressing the -/+ rocker switch crashes the browser. Would be nice to use for font size adjustment or page scrolling
-Can currently only "left click" on links. Would be nice to get a context menu pop up if I click and hold on a link for a few seconds, as is the case with the Win CE version of Minimo.
-Would be nice if Minimo could launch the connection chooser if a connection is not already established.
-Would be nice to be able to open a link in a new tab via a modifier key + click
-A "GO" button on the address bar would be welcome.

Thanks for all the great work thus far!

minimo's bookmark have not been integrated with maEmo's default one, although it should not be that hard through dbus message exchanges. In this meanwhile, I'll take off the bookmark menuittem from menu.

nokia 770 hardware keystrokes are also not supported so far. Coming also.

context sensitive menus are activated on x86 via mouse right-button press only. Maybe some timers can help here.

Sorry if it is not the right place for my post... but I follow your instructions (script runminimo) and I got a seg fault.
I cross-compiled Minimo 1.8 branch but after these few commands
    (
    cd /minimo_cross/lib/minimo-0.015
    export DISPLAY=:0
    export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=.
    ./minimo
    )
I get a sad "Segmentation fault"...
Any hint? Did you get this before you had minimo running with success?
    Thank you guys,
    bye
    Stae

The new build works well for me. I still get some weird doubling up of the bottom tool bar/buttons, though. I will take a screenshot with my digicam sometime if you don't know about this bug. I would love to see Minimo fully hildonized and brought up to parity with the current nightly builds. The Windows CE nightlies are far improved over .16, the last official release.

update the sourcebase it MAIN TARGET now. I've seen great progress since I got this tarball, that is true. It is dated from Augost ((

I'll also post the source code for the next "release".

Wow, this version of Minimo works nicely! I really like the "Scroll with Arrow Keys" feature, and it is much faster rendering pages than the included Opera.

What is the "Toggle Homebar" option? It doesn't seem to do anything for me. Oh, wait. It showed up after a restart of the software.

A quick way to crash it is to link over the Flash plugin included on the 770 and hit a page with Flash. Crash boom. :-)

    Very nice.

Humm? For me, Google maps isn't working anymore -- as it did in previous versions. Returned maps are empty and filled with text advisories:

    Try zooming out
    for a broader
    look.
    We are sorry,
    but we don't
    have maps at
    this zoom level
    for this region.

    hi guys,

a new release is coming hopefully these next days.

    thanks for all feedback. Changes:

    * Minimo will be hosted in garage.maemo servers.
    * running over a newest sourcebase (same as firefox 2.0)
    * source and patches will be available.

    keep tuned.

ps: Mika is helping a lot in these all.
