I'd like to get this working today if possible.

I have it all installed correctly but I can't pair the remote to the tablet for some reason.

Whenever I do a clean flash on the tablet, I skip over the Bluetooth question.

From Control panel, bluetooth, devices, new..... it searches but doesn't recognize.

I'm missing something really simple so could anyone help me out?

Did you put the wii remote in pairing mode before scanning for it? (press and hold buttons 1 and 2 simultaneously until the 4 leds start to flash)

Yeah I've pressed and held on buttons 1 and 2. Eventually I'll end up with 1 LED light on the remote.

I need to pair it with the control panel, bluetooth settings first before using this app, correct?

If you're using the packaged version, you need to use the discover script first to obtain the MAC address of your 'mote, then edit the control script with it. It's all in the documentation.

Thanks void. I just installed the .deb file so I didn't see any documentation that came with it.

Okay. I'm just not getting it.

There's no "discover" file that I can find anywhere.

In Emelfm2, I do have the file wiicontrol which is in green and Wiimote.py which is in black.

    Sorry, but what's next?

Anyway, when you look at the vga output project, combine it with this (maybe two controller support), you have a really nice gaming setup.
PS3 controller would be sweet, but the pairing isn't as easy as in wiimote. PS3 controller needs to paired using USB. And afaik, n900 doesn't have usb-host which would make pairing PS3 controller impossible (??). There might be some way of getting around it, though.

Here's some info about using PS3 controller with linux:
