i didn;t bother since I do have it working via the unique ID. atleast this is not a show stopper for me.

what are your firewall settings? as far as I can figure, my hava box is never going out to connect to their P2P server. when you go to the hava player info screen, does it report connected or disconnected?

I never had to set up anything on my router. The HAVA box just made it work automatically. Are you running firewall software on your Windows box? Could that be the problem?

In either case, I am sure the support guys can tell you what ports need opening up if you're running a firewall at the router level that doesn't support UPnP (or whatever the HAVA box uses to get ports open).

I noticed that the Hava player for the Nokia is officially out of Beta. Just wondering if anyone still has any issues worth mentioning that haven't yet been fixed with this release?

I've came across a bug where the Nokia Hava player won't connect on the first attempt if the Hava Titanium unit hasn't been used for a period of time ( example 24 hours ). The PC version of the Hava player, whether in remote mode or local, doesn't have this problem. If I re-connect to the Nokia Hava player within a short period after an hour or so after using it, I won't have this issue. If I leave it overnight and try to reconnect again what'll happen is the Nokia Hava player will show buffering on the N810 screen, but never connects. I have to disconnect and reconnect a second time for to get it to work. The Hava Titanium unit shows three lights on, two steady and one blinking and the USB dongle is also active while the buffering info comes up which means the stream is being sent, but the Nokia Hava player is frozen while it tries to buffer, unfortunately it never succeeds in connecting. In all cases disconnect and reconnect always works and from that point onwards the player is fine.

Just wondering if I'm the only one with this issue?

I occasionally has a horizontal sync problem: the bottom 10 of the screen is shown on the top, and nothing can fix it other than a reboot of the tablet, even HAVA reboot wont solve the problem.

Have you guys reported these bugs to the HAVA team? This is a good place to discuss the bugs, but it'd be good to know the HAVA guys are formally aware of them.

I sent a log file with the bug issue to the hava beta team. Hopefully, someone will look into it since they've now closed the beta program, but I'm not holding my breath. I've also still got some video/audio sync issues which happens when I'm using the hava player for a while. I'm blaming that more on the hava titanium firmware rather than on the nokia hava player.

Good thinking. The more info they have about the problem, the better they can solve the problem. As a point of reference btw, I've been able to watch 2+ hours straight of HD signal from my TV while halfway across the world, without any A/V sync issues. It'd be good to find out why some people are having them.

I updated my Hava software as well as upgraded my firmware to the latest version. Originally, I remember being told not to do this as there was compatibility issues with the Nokia Player. I never heard anything since, so I downloaded the update anyway. Whether this has anything to do with my sync issues, because I have had no problems with a/v issues on the PC and that's after watching the hava player for a few hours. I seem to have a/v issues on the N810 after about 20-30 minutes. Restarting the program solves it. The time in which it happens is pretty consistent. I also made the Hava beta team aware of this. They said they were looking into it.

One issue I seem to be having with the PC and now with the Nokia, is when you change channel or do anything from the virtual remote, the screen seems to freeze up for a split second and then things clear up. I only have this issue with remote viewing and not with local. Can't remember if this wasn't an issue before the latest diablo update. I posted a message to the hava forum. They blamed it on a slow bandwidth rate. I was averaging 2.8-3.2MB's on local and varying from 700K-1MB on remote and that was the only thing sucking my bandwidth, so I really don't think that's the problem. Hopefully a future fix will address that. Either way, it doesn't affect me all that much, so I've put it in Hava's hands in hopes that they'll come through at some point.

Go to Hava wizard, which checked for the software upgrade, I upped it to 1.7.4.3 (something like that), and checked the firmware upgrade, I upped it from 153..... to 262...... So far, it fixed the horizontal desync problem.

Might want to suggest using the forum set up by Hava specifically for the N8x0 player. I was surprised to see that there were no posts on the Hava forums site (until mine).

Was just a thought. Wasn't sure if it was already mentioned or not, my apologizes if it was.
