The thing is, things like chess etc are part of the osso-software-version. As we all just saw, it can have it's uses but after installing, it's pretty useless.
I think Chess might be one of those. App Manager won't let you uninstall things it thinks are essential
I don't think, I'm for 100% sure that Chess isn't an essential app in a Linux system
App Manager is a 'light' App Manager, so a usual user can't destroy his system.
sorry to wade in here, but how are you meant to find the default E-mail app to uninstall?
i recently installed modest because imap and gmail wouldn't work for me on the default email app. there is no mention of it though in the install manager and a search comes out empty.
i want it unistalled because sometimes if a new email arrives it opens the default mail app and then asks me to define an account!

The upgrade hasn't been released officially yet. Some folks worked out a way of upgrading, but it wasn't for the faint of heart, and Nokia has shut it down now in any case.
