Hey,

If you have a spring PPC6700, here is how I got it to work:

Initiate paring w/ the 770
Pair w/ the PPC 6700
The PPC 6700 FAILS while the 770 succeeds
Then re-pair the 770 w/ the 6700 using the same pin and allow the 6700 to pair successfully. (The 770 may/may no succeed)

After paring, manually create the connection (dial #777, no login or pw), and set to "automatically dial."

It should work by just starting a connection now.

hope this helps someone out there!

This looks promising. What sort of data plan/speeds do you have?

Couldn't get it to work with my 6700. I keep getting "Internet connection failed."

Lance,
Were you able to get it to pair? And did you set it to the default connection?

I did get it to pair. But not by the above method.

I followed thoughtfix's Howto for pairing the 770 with Windows Mobile 5.

I don't have a Linux, so getting root access was my biggest problem. Thoughtfix kindly told me about the VMWare Player and Ubuntu virtual machine. This howto walked me through gaining root access. Then I just followed thoughtfix's howto for the rest.

Has anyone with a Sprint PPC6700 been able to get this to work with the 2006 OS? I can get it to pair via bluetooth but I can't get it to connect to the internet/dial/etc. The 6700 is never available in my list of connections.

From what I understand, with the new 2006 OS there's no need to gain root access anymore. It *should* just work with the default settings.

Is anyone else frustrated?
