Pledge to download Firefox 3 within the first 24-hours it's released, and you can set a world record.

Already pledged. Firefox is the best browser out there (sorry Opera fans)

I'm already running Firefox 3 RC2, I think it is, or RC1. Is there an actual benefit to "pledging"? I'm sure I'll upgrade the instant an upgrade is available.

I think they're starting a new category in the world book.

Only if "the world" benefits somehow; it looks to me like you do a few million FireFox fanboys' egos a favor, but I guess I don't see that as the same thing.

FWIW, I'm not pledging, just because I'm ornery, but I probably will download it (contributing to their server logs, and hence the record) the first day, because I do think it's as good as Opera now, and open-source gets the nod.
