I get an error very rarely. It is usually when a game is starting and MLB isn't ready yet. Yesterday I got the error at 5:05, exactly when the Cubs game started, but was able to login and listen to the Mets game that had been going for a while. I waited a few minutes and the Cubs game was available to me without any problems. If I get an error, I usually just have to wait a few minutes and try again.

You must make sure you are not logged in to MLB.com with your browser. Make sure you click to log out if you have been logged in. You can't be logged in from two places.

Download the debug version from post #274 and run
python /usr/lib/mlbviewer_gui/mlbviewer_gui.py from an xterm window. It will show the html output from mlb.com during the login process.

Someone else was having a login problem and posted the results. The error is coming from mlb.com, it's not very descriptive. It says to try again in a few minutes.

I have an n800, so I can't say that it will work on an n900, but i can run it from my Windows box. You can try to open an xterm window and type in:

    python /usr/lib/mlbviewer_gui/mlbviewer_gui.py

If it doesn't start, see what the error is and post it here.

I've been using the program all season, with an occasional 'unable to login' problem, but those are few and waiting 5 minutes seems to fix it.

Hard to tell from the screen shot, but it looks like you are missing the space between 'python' and '/usr...'

If the space is there, then the program is not installed correctly.
