changing jobs, and just had to give up my laptop. i've been using my n800 + bt keyboard for most things that i'd use my laptop for, but it still isn't a replacement full-time. mostly, i need a bigger screen and ideally a mouse. when i'm at home i could vnc into my desktop, or just use the n800 to surf/email/whatever. i haven't seen much (any?) success in getting the n800 to use either an external monitor (this would be great) or mouse...has there been any progress on either of these fronts (esp monitor)?

Search the forums, I remember there being a thread on mouse support, and I think they got it working. Theres also another thread on screen output, but im not sure if there was ever monitor support....again, search is a great tool.

Yes, both work; the USB-VGA is only for one chipset, only confirmed working with one manufacturer's device, and has an unoptimized refresh strategy which gives poor performance for normal usage; it's good for slideshows, though. The mouse support is much more generally applicable, but sometimes has issues. USB mice are generally easy, but BT mice can be tricky to pair.

Adding mice should become easier in the future.
