Just reflash your 770. This isn't a Playstation Portable

Unfortunately it doesn't work after restarting... "Disconnect when cover on device" box is unticked but it still disconnects when cover on.

Would be great if it works well but it crashes now...
It didn't crash second time but I cannot accept the call because the touchscreen is covered. It is awkward to remove the cover, push the touchbutton and then slip cover back... One trick could be if the name of caller was announced (with flite as in Maemo-mapper) alternating with the ringtone. This way the cover doesn't have to be removed to decide if the call is to be accepted or rejected. Two exposed buttons (+ -) might be used to accept/reject the call with the cover on.

Well, it won't successfully reflash with either the new OS or the older versions... hence "bricked".

I don't think there's much I can do about this one, other than consult Nokia.

If you describe what exactly is happening perhaps you might get some further help here. I know some weird brick-like things occur with firmware flashing if the battery is not fully charged or sometimes just letting the bettery run down completely while using it. Some things to try:
    1) plug your 770 into the charger for a bit and try flashing again
    2) press and hold the power button for a *long* time ... a minute or so
    3) unpluged the 770, pop the battery out for a few moments, pop it back in, plug the charger in and then try powering it back on.

    Just some thoughts.
