Not able to get audio on USA/BloombergTV, I have my audio turn up.

I just tried it, I cant get audio either. I will work on another source of Bloomberg.

Here is a list of all the channels for the upcoming upgrade, if your favorite channel is NOT there and you know the source, please post NOW, I will try to get it on this version, or next version. And if you know a dead channel on the list, please post too. And for whatever reason, the Arab channels are not working anymore, I took it out. If anyone got a new lead, pls post. Still working on some bugs on the new upgrade, maybe a few days later, for the time being, please check channels. Yes, you are part of the team dont be shy. And yes, you use it, you at least please proof read it, thanks. Correction, Comments, rottentomatos, .....just say something. Oh, feature request too.... Channel changes are really NOT too much, if you compare previous version, I am getting more and more careful to add and delete channels - if it aint broken, dont fix it.

Where is WorldTV99 going from here? Now WorldTV99 has 150+ channels. Adding more channels may be appealing, I guess. 300? 400? The more they are, they more the choices but becomes less convenient to use, though. What I would like to see, to add more high video quality channels of USA (I am in NC ) as well stream/hi video quality like CBC, Germany or France. Honestly, the USA selection is the weakest. For USA, I use VCURLs72, http://www.internettablettalk.com. So, if you are from those big metro city, LA, CA, NY, Chicago, you know, please find the streaming sources, I THANK YOU. I routinely watch CBC/Germany/France/GlobeTrekker/CNN because of the video quality and I should have the same choice for USA, eventually?

This is a truly community project, on my next post, I will list everyone that has contribute to WorldTV99 source, and some marvellous stat.

The States is the stupidest about copyright and stuff. Also, most other countries have state-run TV, but not the US.

Same here, added support for xml-playlists in my Knots app so WorldTV99 works too. What makes it nice is that everything is transcoded before sent to tablet so everything should play nicely (if VLC can play the stream). Thank you for the list.

Your statement made me think for awhile. I think it is the media form factor rather than copyright. For example we have excellent selections on VCURLs72, which is 99 % US channels except maybe a couple of French. And the streaming quality, albeit, not 100 % good, but still 2/3 of them are quite watchable, (ComedyCentral did not bother to return my email . Of course there is also a factor of convenience, that the ones work in WorldTV99, I kept it there. When it is not I switched to VCURLs72. Your idea is interesting though.

And it is interesting, I watch CBC for my USA news. BTW, I spent 4 yrs in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Yeah, there needs to be more entries from the states. I'm sure there's plenty of streams from the US to add to that list that wouldn't be all copyright encumbered.

@speculatrex: I cannot make either one stream on vlc/laptop or the tablet. Are these tested sites on tablet? Do I have to include the length1=-1?

See how you like it without the black borders, do this
edit /etc/mplayer/mplayer.conf and add
aspect=15:9

It looked very grand on alot of channels, except a few may have problems. Only work with mplayer, not ossomserver. Give it a try,
