Is there currently any way to open a terminal on bluetooth on the 770?
I'm building a robot that uses Bluetooth to interface to my computer, and it'd be really nice if I could control it with my 770. If there aren't any apps avaliable, do any devs know how to access Bluetooth? Thanks

I'm still looking for an answer. Any responses would be really helpful.

Ok, I'll bite. I've been involved with bluetooth devices the past two years but only as a consumer, so take this with some salt but...

Google is your friend. I'm sure there are a ton of projects out there that involve interfacing devices via bluetooth - PDA's or PC's to an odd assortment of hardware (including a vaccum cleaner of all things). You can learn tons there.

When you're using bluetooth hardware, you need to know what profile is being used. In your case, you can use the serial profile.

So, instead of a terminal on the 770 (though I suppose it's possible), you'd write a little C program that opens a serial port locally (that's bound to the bluetooth hardware) and then send commands as desired. I'm sure it would be trivial to write a program that opens a text box and has a few buttons, then sends the necessary input to the other device.

Finally, check out the maemo wiki - I'm sure there are applications for bluetooth available - so you could pipe commands to the serial port (this is the terminal you were talking about).

Sorry I couldn't really help, but I'd suggest using google and ignoring the fact you're using a 770 - the concepts will be the same, and I doubt many people are using a 770 (though thoughtfix on this site has something on his blog, perhaps he will chime in?)

Brad.
As far as a terminal, no. You could easily write some software

You're looking for the 'cu' utility, which allows you to open a serial terminal to a suitable device.

Specifically, you might want to find the BlueSerial package, as it automates a few steps.
