I have a PDF that is very large. About 100+ chapters combined into one PDF. However when i open it in the default pdf viewer only shows the first chapter (41 pages). Evince freezes when trying to load. Xournal freezes as it tries to convert the pdf when opening it.

Any ideas?

In windows/linux it shows up fine. It even lets me skip chapters. So i'm guessing this is a memory issue.

Well, I hope you're running a large swap file...

Other than that, you might try breaking out the chapters with a PDF splitter. (I've done that before, but don't remember what software I used, or I'd recommend it.)

As large as I can get maemo to let me. 128 MB. Though i think with the cli i can make it bigger? I'll look into splitting it though.

Did you have this problem before Diablo? I use Evince quite frequently to read a 700page manual for work, and I've never had any problem, but I haven't tried it yet since upgrading...

Well i eventually realized that the file wasn't really setup in chapters. it was in attachments in the pdf.
