no, not the kanye west song. instead i recently update the device using the update manager on the diablo release. now for a reason that is not obvious to me, the light around the directional pad will always flash on and off. is this a bug or am i missing something?

LCD?

Actually, I don't know. Have you tried rebooting your device?

There are various notifications with the d-pad light. Check LEDs page in Control panel -> Display.

On your tablet:
  1. Open the application menu.
  2. Go to the "Settings" sub-menu.
  3. Tap "Control panel".
  4. In the control panel window that opens, double-tap "Display".
  5. In the "Display and LEDs" window that opens, tap the "LEDs" tab.
  6. Uncheck "Device on" if it is checked.
  7. Adjust other alerts as you like.
  8. Tap the "OK" button to close the "Display and LEDs" window.
  9. Close the control panel window.

EDIT: I tap too slowly.

I think it was a email notification. Anyway, it has gone away.

I think it might have been LCD after all.
