do you know if it's possible to get Nokia_Audio_Suite_2_0.zip working on a internet tablet? so something like it?

To which the answer is "probably not" I'm afraid

If you have some description of a polyphonic ring tone codec you might be able to write something to do the job of converting and playing back the ring tone, unless there's already a Linux tool that can be cross compiled - anyone?

Work out what you've got, then people will have more of a chance suggesting software to use.

If they are command line then yes, assuming they don't contain any x86 asm. If they require a GUI, then GTK+ or QT is preferred - other things can be made to work if you really want to.

Sox exists already iirc anyway. These programmes don't appear to be ringtone creation sw, are you sure you're looking for the right thing (assuming that ringtone creation is what the Nokia sw does)?

basicly i want to play with sound on a internet tablet, forget the ringtone bit. once i have created a file i upload it to mosh.nokia.com and that turns the file into a ringtone automatically.

why don't you do it on a pc i hear you ask...... well i'm trying only to use the internet tablets at the moment.
