Hi all,

I can transfer files from the memory card(s) to the PC using the USB cable or using SFTP via WinSCP (in the latter case also the built in memory).
For using BT file transfer I tried Nokia PC Suite but that cannot find the N810 as it only detects Nokia phones which I already expected.

Is there another option to use BT for:
- transferring files to/from PC
- transferring files to/from Nokia phone (E70 in my case)

Thanks.

Is it because your N8x0 either doesn't have Bluetooth turned on (there should be an icon in the status bar) or it's set to be non-visible?

The standard Windows XP (I assume you use something Windows based as you can use the Nokia suite) is able to send and receive files - click on the BT icon in the system tray, iirc it has the option to send/receive in there.

Transferring to/from the phone is easy - from the phone use the standard dialogs, search for your N8x0 and then say send, the N8x0 will ask where to save the file (assuming the N8x0 is not invisible of course); to send from N8x0 use the file manager, tap and hold, select send>BT from the pop-up menu, select from the BT devices it can see, voila.

I cannot help you in giving step-by-step instructions as I don't use Windows on my desktop, but I can confirm it works in principle. I always could exchange files via bluetooth between my desktop PC and the N800. It's probably only a matter of settings... Only I can't tell you which settings.

if bluetooth is setup between computer (windows based) and n800 - you can just right click on a file - select "send to" - "bluetooth" - "[your n8x0 device name]"
