I own the N810 for barely a week, it is fine to me but still a few questions arise:

- How can I move an application from the 'extra' group to e.g. the 'utilities' group and change its name (e.g. 'Web' to 'Firefox') ?

- How can I change the home folder from /user/mydocs/ (I want to have it on mmc1 or mmc2) ?

- How can I change file association, e.g. a .jpg file to 'quiver' instead of 'images' ?

Thanks,

To move applications around go to:
Settings -> Control Panel -> Panels
Under the Task navigator tab there is an Applications section. Click organise.

Depending on how experienced you are with Linux you can move mydocs completely using symbolic links, though from what I've heard this could cause some problems with bootup, unless you know what you're doing.
A safer solution would be to create a folder on your mmc card, create a symbolic link to it within mydocs and save in there.
So you'd have /home/user/MyDocs/<your folder> and whenever you perform any operations on it you'll actually be performing them on /media/mmcN/<your folder>

For changing some file associates look up mime-types. Or, a slightly easier way, search for dbus-switchboard on this forum - you'll probably still need to know a little about mime-types anyway.
