We've updated the LCARS packages with bug fixes and a new theme called "Okuda":

Project page | Changelog

Feedback, bug reports, and derivatives are encouraged.

Enjoy!

Yes, actually. We used osso-screenshot-tool to take the screenshots used on the site. For photos though, I use a camera.

Hm.. my browser (using Diablo) is broken after installing and using the theme. Maybe there is no causal relation. Browser keeps showing 'updating' popup. Bookmark menu in the browser won't open and can't open any webpage.

/var/log/syslog:

Sep 24 08:45:20 Nokia-N800-23-14 browser[1418]: GLIB CRITICAL ** default - browser_engine_is_alive: assertion `IS_BROWSERENGINE (self)' failed

Also couldn't uninstall it cleanly. /usr/share/themes/okura stays behind.

I've never seen that browser problem; I hope it's not a bug in our packages. Let me know if you figure it out.

As for the dirty uninstall: two small gtkrc cache files get left behind in the theme directory for each theme you remove. (Plankton does the same thing.) This is because dpkg doesn't delete files that it doesn't know about, and the caches were created by hildon-theme-cacher. Nokia might fix this in a future version of hildon-theme-tools (Leif just filed a bug), or if that doesn't happen we'll probably modify our themes' postrm scripts to handle it. In the meantime, it's perfectly safe to delete the cache files if you want to.
