I was looking into Nokias Maemo tutorial on www.forum.nokia.com. There was the possibility to make a comparison among the Nxxx devices. In the comparison it says that the N770/80/810 has the capability for video calling, but not the N900.
Curious to find out more, and I hope it ain't so. If there's no video chatting/calling capability I find that the major attraction of the N900 is gone.
Michal Jerz of My-Symbian.com has got the retail version of the N900. It does not come with any video calling/chatting possibility, unlike the other Nxxx models, and unlike some pre-production units.
So what are the chances of this community developing an app for this?
What are the possibilities of porting what's available on the N810 to the N900?
I must say I find it incredibly disappointing that the N900 doesn't do this out of the box, as it was the major attraction of the Nxxx series to me.
I agree 100% that we need it. Video chatting over voip would be the N900 killer app. However it's not listed as part of the N900 on Nokia's own comparison page with the other Nxxx tablets.
