Can't check each other out if you're riding fast.

I work in Cambridge, UK, so there are lots of geeks and geekettes around with smartphones and iphones, so they tend not to notice unless they get quite close and say "cool, is that the nokia tablet" and then marvel at it and quite quickly you sense they begin to want one! I think it's the screen that does it - proper web browsing - as many people would otherwise be happy to live with the iphone's limitations.

For those with an iPod, I show the Nokia video, 2 minues, hi-res. It shows off the tablet and shows off the tablet! (and the slide out keyboard)
I have about 100 albums on my ext card so flicking through the cover art in Canola is impressive.
Actually playing some music on the internal speakers surprises some.
Finally, showing my Windows XP desktop and starting AutoCad with pyrDesktop also causes double takes.

Ok, everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, in my school has a iPod Touch or an iPhone, or wants to get one. This one guy who's dad works for Nokia has a 770, but that's it. Its hard to show off when the iPhone has multitouch, and nice games. Some geeky type like me liked the remote desktop (hehe, school filters), but to show off, you have to do stuff that the iPods can't. So, canloa, browser, GPS, are a big no no.

What I do:

Emulators are a big deal to people my age. 100 GBA games in my pocket!!\

Crazy hardware setups (including)

The kick stand (everyone LOVES the kick stand)
USB host (The whole class stares at me when I whip out a keyboard to take notes, not sure if that is a good thing)
Wii-Remote pairing, and playing games with it.

And my favorite: Comparing it with a firends iPod, then at the last second, push it open to reveal the full qwerty keyboard. HAHAHA

you have no idea (well you might) how many times i have been asked if it is a new ipod. Having the n800 I get some good ohs and ahs if I pop out the web cam. (gota love school wide wifi and 4 friends with n800s) The stand gets some. Playing flash games get a lot. Enjoying media gets the most! all in all not many people have ever heard of it and everyone is impressed by it.
