Yes. I've got positive feedback from OS X users.
Remember to remove any existent pairing between the device and the Mac, and create the pairing using BlueMaemo, choosing "Establish connection".
This is required because BlueMaemo introduces a new profile and the Mac OS keeps a file with the supported profiles of each known devices, that file have to be update in order to accept the connection.
Thanks for the prompt response!
I've done exactly that -- deleted all pairings on both the n900 and the macbook. I fire up BlueMaemo and choose "Establish connection" and it seemingly properly pairs the devices. From the mac, I can see the additional Bluez HID mouse & keyboard profile and at first it says both paired AND connected. On the n900, BlueMaemo remains on the initial screen with the three options: Wait for connection, Reconnect, Establish Connection. After a minute or so, the mac connection breaks but the pairing remains and BlueMaemo remains on that same initial screen. Any ideas?

Actually there's another bug that probably is affecting you, that's a very silly bug related to encoding, make sure your Mac BT name doesn't have any special char, like: ' eg. thommy's macbook.

That bug can even prevent BlueMaemo from starting, anyway will be fixed in the next version.

That was it! Thanks for the help and thanks for the app!
Great. The app is in alpha stage, so feel free to suggest/point any thing that you don't like or can be improved.
It's great and very useful so far! One feature that I'd love to see is auto-connect on start. And I'm sure you're already working on it, but the hardware keyboard would be the preferred method of input in many circmstances. Keep up the good work!

That's already a feature (maemo4 version has it), but since the "settings" screen is not finished, the button is not there .
hi, I've been using bluemaemo on windows 7 with my n900. The mouse and virtual keyboard work great, however, the hardware keyboard does not seem to work. I don't see any settings regarding this. Is this currently a bug?

Yeah, it's a bug that was introduce in maemo5, Nokia changed the way that the window manager handles the focus, that's the primary reason for the application is still in the -devel repository.
That bug is out of my control since it need to be fixed in the EFL libraries .
