Hi

I've started to try out more programs and some times I push it to hard and programs hang or crash.

On my Mac I would force quit, is there a similar function for OS2008?

Thanks

Steve

killall <program>

sigkill;
killall -9 <program>

But like tso says, easier to use load applet unless you tend to run programs as root. htop is also nice to have too.

If it's a GUI app and you click on the close X in the corner, it should either close, or after a short time out you will be asked if you want to kill the app in question.
