If you reflashed your device (I think that might be what you meant by "Nokia instructer" which is meaningless), then you cannot recover what's on it. Just as if you wiped your desktop HD with a factory image. Since it's not possible, it's true that no-one here can help with it.

However, it's not clear that that's even what you did; we're having to try to guess your tablet's state from inadequate descriptions of what you've done to it. So if you didn't reflash, you'll need to post in more detail what it is that you did do.

I called up nokia and asked them how to set my device to factory settings, then he said go to the applications tab>Settings> Control Panel> Then click the button with the one big line and three smaller ones>Tools>Clear device. He said just click ok

Then when it started up, it asked for where i live and the time.

It looked the how i first bought it.

Now i'm really scared that i lost the origional files that the device came with, is it possible for my to update the OS and i will get them back?

    What is the latest OS?
I have version 1.2007.42-19, is that the latest?

Just to put in some perspective - your questions are like asking in an indycar racing forum, on how to change gears of your car...

The map software that comes with N810 is a trial version. Unless you are going to buy it, you dont need it. There are other free map software available.

The version you have 1.2007.42-19, is old. so you need to update it. Backup any files in your N810. Make sure your N810 battery is full.
Go to the page https://www.nokiausa.com/A4686323 and follow the instructions.

I said thanks, and gave him thanks. I don't need you to tell me what to do.

Strange that it doesn't show up, then.

Anyway, I still don't understand what "origional files" you think are missing. You did a clear device, which clears all user files. That includes downloaded maps, but those aren't original, and may be redownloaded just as they were downloaded initially.

Anyhow, since you're using an old OS, you can just reflash to the newest, and post back with specific information about any files you think are still missing.

The internet is a strange place, people do everything that they can to help someone, explain in clear simplistic terms and still have to endure digital aggressiveness. Dan9311, there were very few pages in the document I linked you too, there was a short video to watch which explained what to do. I think you need a device that "just works" and maybe the N810 is not the right device for you. Hope you get everything figured out without too much stress.
