    oh no tori,
i'm sorry I didn't think about chinook people.
If you get the source from the repository and build/install it I believe it works.

I try to make use of only baseline standard libraries, and used to develop in chinook whilst users were running it happily in diablo.

I will ensure the package is submitted to chinook extras next time I upload.

I can't test anymore because I'm back on a stock kernel.

I could not get liqbase or mplayer to stretch across the full display, it always crashed when attempting to update over 480*480.

The Internet calling app only handles a small area of overlay video; it isn't full screen by any means. MPlayer also runs rotated (I just tried it) but I would have to transcode some video that was 400 high by 240 wide to see if it scales properly. It just fills the top third of the screen with the (highly squished) video.

I love this place. That suggestions are heard and taken into account, still amazes me. I have a really uneven handwriting, even on paper. I'm one of those persons that start in a line and in a size and end up in a downward curve, with a smaller size of letter. Sometimes is upwards too. And when I write things faster even I can't read it afterwards. So a line its a must. The size is not that important, simmilar to a notebook would be cool.
The unending canvas is a great idea, i think Mypaint does that. Then have a scrolling option like the one under "blit demo" would look awesome.
Btw call me Elia ^^ eliagp is just my not-to-forget nick for all the websites I use.
    Cheers
    Elia

Quite. My little sister has a really even handwriting. It honestly looks like a computer font. I envy people who can do that. Mine is quite messy the slippery screen doen't help, either. If I write slowly I can use xournal, but faster note taking looks like what a 2 year old's drawings on a wall.

while no real comfort, know that your not alone.

sadly it also makes a mess of most handwriting recognition systems.

kinda makes me wish for a full screen glyph system...

    so,

this is the sort of thing you guys want?

Its NOT ready yet, and won't be out for a couple of weeks at least - there is more required than a simple hack.
I have to adapt the file format to be told what the background color is, and that ties in with me expanding into a database.

    hope you lot can wait

    tso,
i store all your strokes exactly as entered, I think I can tie in your stroke combinations to your own handwriting, and it will get better as you go.

I also want fullscreen glyphs, i want to do away with ttf and let you lot create your own
