I'm trying to use the Telepathy-based IRC client available with the rtcomm beta update instead of Xchat every now and then. There are a number of problems with it (like you can't open a private chat window from a channel), but the thing I find most annoying is that I can't make it not show join/part messages in a channel. There are situations when I constantly scroll up and down because the window is so flooded with these meaningless join/part-messages that I cannot follow the actual conversation any more.

Any ideas?
