Install tools already does this the new package will allow you to install the fsck or remove it. If your running ext3 you dont need to do it anyway. You use gparted to setup your partitions and my tools to clone and backup


But what about being able to setup a Debian-style fsck on boot (of an ext2/3 partition)? This would require the initial mount to be read-only and then remounting read/write after the check - whatever the results.

This would be really great for those of us with the battery problems (which is why I will be switching to ext3)

I think you will be happily surprised with this. Its really awesome. You cna even backup/restore to external hard drives /dev/sda /dev/sdb are both supported. We need bootmenu to support usb boot (on n8x0) and this would be a great tool to set it up...
