Hey.

Trying for the past day or so to install some .debs I have on my internal memory card.

I keep getting "incompatible application package" errors.

I've been in Red Pill mode but I think I also have to have Chinook Extras as a repository as well.

Been looking everywhere and I can't find it. I'm using the lastest Diablo 43-7 version.

Any help?

Thanks!

try to install them vie xterm.
type in xterm:
Code:
cd /directory/to/your/debs ENTER (for internal mmc: cd /media/mmc2 (on n810))
dpkg -i yourdebname.deb ENTER
do not type ENTER... ^^
then copy and paste the output here...

or just tell which applications you are missing, there may be people who could put them to diablo extras

cd /directory/to/your/debs ENTER (for internal mmc: cd /media/mmc2 (on n810))
dpkg -i yourdebname.deb ENTER
Okay, that seemed to do the trick.

At first it complained about not having superuser privileges, I guess that was the problem here.

Anyway, a couple of my favorite .debs that I had troubles with were:
konwert-filters_1.8-11.1_all.deb
konwert_1.8-11.1_armel.deb (To have IBM characters on Telnet)
and
libvte4_0.12.2-0mh7_armel.deb (Qwerty made this one... it removes an invisible border around Xterm making use of the full screen)

I don't understand how Nokia can think a common user should know how to use the dpkg -i command.

But oh well. I'm back to being happy again! Thanks guys!
