which will also be a small sized stream so that audio and video do sync in the stream and play well on the N810 ?

Keep an eye on this one from CNN...

...paste this in your tablets browser address bar and go.
It should open up in Media Player where you can then save it as a bookmark.

thanks, that seems to work fine - so far. Lets see how it goes tomorrow.

I set it up as a m3u filee and linked it to personal menu as a personal menu item - easy click and go (based on the personal menu thread under apps section).

I gotta say, I'm watching the inauguration on the CNN stream that was posted ( mms://a466.l3760651364.c37606.g.lm.akamaistream.net/D/466/37606/v0001/reflector:51364 ) using mplayer.. and it plays PERFECTLY on the N800! This is GREAT!

Unlike that farce of a live video event that Hulu had going that I could barely watch on the N800.

Thanks for posting that!

For Linux/x86, Linux/AMD64 and Mac/PowerPC see this blog post. Which boils down to: Silverlight 1.0 works on these platforms. Lets hope a Linux/ARM port is next... and vote on Linux/ARM when you can
