I have one gripe about the built-in AIM client. I have certain friends whose screen names appear as "mobile" when they aren't online. The Nokia tablet displays these contacts as "online," making no distinction between the two. I can't ever tell if my contact is really online, or just mobile. Is there any fix?

Use Pidgin. I think most will agree that it's a much better client, anyway...
