Some of you will remember the nokia robot puppy which had a 770 for a head, I however came to the nokia scene too late to see this first hand.
I recall playing with robotic kit in college and had a great time doing it, what would people recommend if I wanted to "re-vision" a new robot minion.
To me, it should use the camera (or multiple stereoscopic eyes from 2 devices) and screen to show information and obviously interact with the hardware.
It should be completely mobile and hopefully autonomous, but I would be willing to simply give it weigh points and make it drive there.
It would be fun to operate and control it remotely (like the mars rovers!)
Does anyone know which software stack would we need and hardware interfaces to make this soft of thing possible for fun projects?
Last time the robot hardware kit was extremely expensive, I'm sure now it should be cheaper and more practical to get something together for less.
