It looks like we might have 4G available to us in the near future if Verizon's plan goes through. Especially since you can be certain that the other cellular carriers won't stand by and let Verizon get away with this without offering their own equivalent services. That means that, even if the next tablet only supports 3g service, a firmware upgrade (assuming that this can be done with just a firmware update) should allow us access to even more cool high speed stuff in the future.

Hmm, too bad the wi-max edition was discontinued.

... If only I could turn my 22" display into a 30" with a firmware upgrade...

Wimax != 3G/4G

BTW, this would apply best to the new tablet, not the existing n810 wimax one. I'd love to see this take off, because it would mean much better mobile broadband.
