With the default setup, you can only install to the internal memory. You can't install things to the internal card or external card.

The other option is dual booting (search the forums). If that's too complicated, you'll have to install less software.

Note: If you haven't already, you can clear up space on the internal memory by moving or deleting unnecessary files like all of the .pdf manuals (in multiple languages), the included songs/videos, and any included background images. Delete what you know you won't ever need, move the rest to the internal or external card.

The simplest way to gain new space is to go to >documents in file manager and remove all the PDF "user guides" that are not in your language. You can also look in >images for picture files you wont be using.

As Nelson said, booting from sd card is a very useful option - all the space you need, and you have a backup just in case you get carried away while tinkering.

to bad that nokia never made booting from SD a official supported one...

i guess i should look into putting mer on a unused SD and reflash the boot area to handle it...

Please, in your screen shot, what is that status bar applet
combining a clock with what looks like cpu load + disk usage ?

( My status bar is running out of space.)
