Have you ever successfully flashed a tablet? It takes a certain knack. Do you see the usb connect symbol?

Try another usb connection.

Try to release the power switch as soon as it is obvious the tablet is starting up, but don't release the other key you are holding down till you see the device found message.

Those are the tips that work for me.

I tried lots of times but always my pc detect the nokia n810 for a few seconds, but then it disappears because maemo is starting (on the tablet there is the progress bar). I released the the power switch when I saw the usb sybol..
I flashed my device some months ago.
Thanks

If by chance you did read what the Software Updater asks you to do in each step... you wouldn't be asking this question...

Hmmm?

I only used the english version and that definitely does tell to hold down the swap key while powering up the device. It also has a small picture which show which one of the two front button in N810 is the swap key. (This is how I remember it... I haven't used the updater for many months... and currently do not have it installed on my PC to check...)

In N800 I believe they ask to hold down the "Home" key...

But once you are doing this correctly the N810 does not boot up but stays in the screen showing white screen with NOKIA logo and USB symbol in top right corner. Only in this mode the device can be flashed.
