    If it absolutely must be displayed, then it should go under the Posts/Thanks/Joined line (same size, color and font) with an <hr> dividing it.

    I don't think it's justified, personally. To me, it seems to serve no purpose, and I doubt very much that the vast majority of people find a use for it, either (there seems to be exactly one person asking for it back). That's an awful lot of space to consumer and clutter to create for only a single individual. Maybe if it were an option (with the default being OFF), but, really, I don't see it.

    Post titles aren't used on the rest of maemo.org, anyway.

    I have to agree with GA on this one: nobody seems to use the titles anyway (they seem to always be Re: *).

    Sorry daperl!

    I agree for within threads. On the other hand, it would be nice to have the post title display on the "View Single Post" pages that come from clicking on post numbers within a thread.

    My only requirement would be that it display when I click on a "latest post" or a post link. If you quickly put it outside the post, my fear is that it would be just off the page. So, it would have to be inside the post # id.

    @GA and Brent

    If it were a "Visible Post Elements" option that by default would not display the Post Title, would either of you object? Currently, it's a bug that needs a solution. I know enough that removing all traces of Post Titles is just as much if not more work than my suggestion. And it might reappear when Reggie updates the web hosting software, which would cause unnecessary maintenance.

    EDIT:

    To give some context, here's how I typically browse this site: I go to "New Posts" and I open the latest posts of my threads of interest. Then I start reading. You'll notice from my attachment that I can't read the tab title. Also, I can't remember what tab is what, so I then have to scroll to the top of the page. And that's when the whole reason for clicking on the "latest post" link gets nullified. Probably another reason Post Titles exist. Imagine what this would be like in Fennec.

    If it could be turned off, then no, I wouldn't have a problem with it.

    It looks to me like daperl has a point. I also grab a whole bunch of new threads in a screenfull of tabs, and obviously I can't read more than a few chars of the title there. On the other hand I do see the title on the browser top border window decoration n my desktop so it's not critical for me. But I guess it depends on the setup / window manager etc. if that is visible for everybody.

    The image I attached is a screenshot of my tablet browser in fullscreen mode. I don't have any window decoration and my toolbar is hidden. I have almost maxed out my real estate, and I wouldn't have to give any back if the Post Title were there; it would just scroll away on long posts.

    Maybe:

    [username] on [post title]

    (Making [post title] the same size as the body text.)

    Just a thought... Other suggestions are more than welcome.

    My opinion is we wouldn't be talking about this if the font size was correct in the original roll-out. It was huge and it was wrapping. Too many people freaked out and it was removed instead of shrunk. Look how easy it is to ignore in the post preview.
