(i have mplayer setup in the default microB web browser so i cant say the exact steps to get the link to the file on a default installation but there should be something like 'copy link', although to be honest - i got this link off my laptop because it was faster)
    enjoy
If I install mplayer, which I plan to do anyway, will that automatically make it the default in my web browser? If so will the links play directly, or do I still need to put them into the player?

Thx for being bored! I'll try these when I get home (the N810 died overnight. It had a full charge, I had shut down bluetooth, wifi and the only app I left running was the GPE calendar ).

You might want to get a new battery then. My used internet tablet was only giving me 1 hour of use but I bought a new battery and it gave me the normal 3+ hours of use.

mplayer doesnt have the codecs necessary to play these streams. regarding the battery: turn off any of the 'home' applets that are running on your desktop, most of them suck the life out of your battery. The only applet i use is om weather. also, lock your screen and keys

open your thai radio page - you need to get the direct links to your radio stations eg -
    http://www.thai-radio.com/asx/thai-h...915-dwe45r.asx
Taking a look at the webpage, I don't see how you found the direct link to the radio stations? I'd like to be able to do that with other stations also. Thanks again.

I did it on my laptop using ubuntu with firefox and the totem movie player plugin. when you play a video or radio station you can right click and press something like 'copy' or 'copy location' and paste it somewhere to see the link

i forgot to add... the links are something like cid:///asx/123.asx

i dont know what this means, i'm not a web developer BUT

replacing 'cid:///' with 'http://www.thai-radio.com/' makes it a direct link

cr*p. I just installed firefox on my vista (gag) machine and looked for totem movie player. It apparently only works on free world machines. I'll see if I can install it on the n810.

edit: no I won't. u can't right click on an n810. Double bummer.

windows media player doesnt give you some sort of 'copy location' option? what happens if you try to save the stream? does it show the link?

It only opens in a web page, and only shows an html link. I've looked at source as well, and I can't find the asx files you're finding.
