well... the n800 comes with a 128mb miniSD card which you can put a few mp3s on... so make sure that is included in the package

Yeah, for me, I have a lot more music and video than needs all that storage. I've got an 8gb internal SD and a 16gb external SD. Not to mention that you need an SD card if you want to have a dual-boot system.

I still keep my OS and applications on the 256 but have to choose which apps really matter because of space.
I keep an 8 gig internal slot with all my files, pictures and music...and it never really fills up. And then I hot swap two 16 Gig cards in the external (I love that we can hot swap) with all the movies and shows for traveling.
I do suggest that if you use Maemo Mapper that you save all the maps to a SD card, it can fill up the 256 MB fast while traveling.
Another thing I suggest, if you use it while traveling, I would get a second and maybe third battery. I bought my back up batteries for $6 each on ebay(not official Nokia batteries) and they make it nice for those 8-10 plane rides. I can watch 3 full length movies and still have battery life left.
