Apparently, an electrical fault is delaying the LHC startup until October. Let us bet on what we get to see first: the N900 or the Apocalypse!

I voted for Nokia beating the LHC but this does beg the question: what happens when the LHC goes live? You'll only have months with your shiny, new Nokia!

Imagine if Nokia had made the LHC. The official response would be
“Sorry but both the Transformer and the 30-ton superconducting Magnets are categorised by Nokia as an accessory and are no longer in production. Please contact your retailer.” Last edited by Rebski; 2009-06-21 at 16:22. |

At least there's little chance of a black hole or world domination from the N900, making it far better for the survival of mankind.
I'm glad LHC is on the other side of the planet from home. "If we knew what we were doing, we couldn't call it research." - Albert Einstein |

Oh, sure, that'll buy you, like, 3 seconds more before the end of our planet

Still a chance, though: nothing's certain in a quantum universe :-)

Well, the N900 certainly isn't winning in a Google Fight. But it's putting up more of a fight than I expected.

If you have a step 2 LHC then forget it. Best to fill in the hole and start again. |
