I am trying to help my daughter with her Nokia N810, and a problem she has with memory full. OS2008 was installed in early 2007, and I believe there was a pop3 email setup for Gmail. Apparently no emails were ever deleted which caused her much grief. I did try to archive all the emails to the memory card, but not sure if this succeeded or not. Currently no Inbox shows in any display, and I'm unable to set up an email account under Contacts as new accounts is not shown (got this info from YouTube set up). Other than trying to clear up memory, will I need to do anything with the operating system also? As a test I tried to install MNotify and was unable due to memory problems. I really could use some help and advice as how to correct the memory problems. Sorry I don't know much about Maemo system, or much about the memory layouts.

One nice thing about Gmail is that all emails (and chats) are archived on the site, unless you specifically go into the archive folder and delete it. If you've archived the emails to the memory card, try and delete them out of the folder. This should clear up some memory. I'll let a more advanced member give lend a helping hand regarding other options of clearing memory.
