I know, it's from Engadget, a site that most here hate; however the information seems legit:

The world's largest cellphone maker just announced a 66 percent yearly drop in Q2 profit while lowering its 2009 market share target for its cellphones. Originally, Nokia had expected market share to rise in 2009, presumably based on a successful launch of the N97 flagship device.
Not exactly a good look for Nokia. Read more here.

I'm ignoring the other comments in that "article" about the reviews, et al. But as it stands - and I've said it before - it seems like Nokia is losing momentum in its other offerings. Will it affect Maemo?

Not even one comment mentioned anything about maemo. I think they are going to be taken by a huge surprise when it comes out. Everyone wants nokia to start using android.... wait till they experience maemo!

what's interesting, though:

Nokia’s share of the converged device market was an estimated 41% in the second quarter 2009, unchanged from 41% in the second quarter 2008 and up from 39% in the first quarter 2009. We shipped 4.6 million Nokia Nseries and 4.7 million Nokia Eseries devices during the second quarter 2009, up from the combined 8.2 million Nseries and Eseries devices we shipped in the first quarter 2009.
