hi everybody
sorry for novice question but
i just wondered what is the difference between usb-host and usb on-the-go?
are they same?

In loose terms:
  • Host is the device acting as the USB Host
  • USB On The Go means that the device can act as both a client and a Host. The switch is done via either special adapter or via software.

by the way i found explanation on tabletblog.com
OTG mode is for cameras and related devices supporting that protocol. Peripheral mode turns your tablet into a card reader to look at the internal and card storage. Host mode allows other devices (such as flash drives and keyboards) to be connected.
