Basically it downloads the map as a giant image file, or several of them I think. Not as useful as MaemoMapper which lets you do POI and routing but if you don't use a GPS and just want a quick or lighter solution to get a map of a city I guess this works too.

They only go down to 2. Heck if I know why, but that's what they do.
