Hi everyone,

No matter what radio station I try, none of them will add to the home screen radio player applet playlist. Every mp3 or real player stream I attempt to add reports an error saying the file format or playlist is not supported, even though they play fine in the audio player!

Has anyone managed to add a station to the home screen applet and if so what's the link to the station?

Cheers,
Rikki

Follow the howto at the Tableteer. Go to the FAQ section, type "radio" in the search box and find the entry "How do I use the Internet radio on my Nokia 770 Internet Tablet?"

If you don't know what "Tableteer" means, then it's waaayyyy too early for you to try mess with radio stations: you need to explore your tablet a lot more. E.g.: try the preinstalled bookmarks...

Hi Karel,

Thanks for your hasty reply. I checked Tableteer last night after your reply, but was too tired to write a reply then.

The only information that was there was how to add a stream (which I had already read in the User Guide - http://nds1.nokia.com/phones/files/g...770_UG_en.pdf), and that it supports PLS and M3U (which was also in the manual).

Thanks though, it just went to prove my suspicions that the Tableteer website is actually a bit of fluff (ie. not actually anything more useful than the User Guide), whereas the really useful information is usually here or at maemo.org.

What I would really like to know is whether anyone has actually added a stream to the radio player applet playlist. I have found quite a lot of internet radio stations (though none of the regular radio stations I normally listen to) that play in the audio player, but whenever I try to add them to the radio player applet playlist, it claims it does not support the format. Playing internet radio stations in the audio player is ok, but I would prefer the ease of doing it from the home screen.

So has anyone got an example of an actual station that adds to the playlist and works, please?

Cheers,
Rikki

I've successfully added Radio Paradise to the applet and it's playing on Nokillo as I write this.

they do make it a bit confusing, don't they? Within the audio player app itself, not the applet, the stream needs to be saved as a favorite. this should then have it show up in the dropdown list from the applet.

Cool, cheers Karel and spycedtx. Thanks a lot for your input. I'll give it another go when I get home this evening!

Thank you!

Hmm, ok, I get it! The instructions in the manual and in tableteer are wrong! You have to use the 'add to favourites' menu option and _not_ open the favourites playlist and attempt to add to that.

Thanks for your help!

lol, ok next question! RAM radio stations only open in the video player! Is it possible to add Real Media stations to the applet?
